County Durham-based Crafter’s Companion is to invest more than £100,000 this year to improve its packing and distribution facility as the company gears up for further expansion into Europe.

The announcement comes weeks after the company, which designs, manufactures and supplies craft-related products to enthusiasts across the world, opened its first operation in Holland.

The warehouse will double in size as phase one of a plan grows sales, which will also see investment in technical systems.

Founder Sara Davies said: “The final phase of the investment will go on our most important asset, our people.”
