A Gateshead firm known as a leading designer and manufacturer of modular school buildings has added a new string to its bow.
Clearspace Buildings has unveiled the UK’s first moveable, standalone external shower and changing facilities, which enables cyclists and runners to change and wash at work.
The first unit was recently unveiled at Watford Hospital, where it forms part of the Cycle Pit Stop, comprising bike stands, secure storage and a repair station.
Clearspace managing director Scott Horner said: “We’re very excited by the Shower Hub and the possibilities it presents. There are so many financial incentives and grants funding available to organisations that wish to encourage their employees to leave the car at home and cycle to work that a Shower Hub could easily pay for itself.”
