More than 100 people enjoyed a night at the museum when the CIPD summer networking event was held in Newcastle.
Sponsored by NRG, it took in Great North Museum: Hancock, and gave those attending the opportunity to network with regional colleagues from across professions and sectors. They also took part in a treasure hunt and heard from the keeper of archaeology. Donations were made to participate in the treasure hunt, with a hamper for the winner donated by Muckles. Money raised went towards the CIPD North East’s charity of the year, CHUF, bringing the amount raised so far to £2,458
The event, the first of its kind, was delivered in association with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Elouise Leonard-Cross, chair, CIPD North East of England, said: “We are delighted that NRG chose to sponsor this very successful regional networking event, which we hope is the first of many. We are very grateful to our fellow Chartered bodies that worked with us on creating an event that enabled individuals from across a range of professions to network and share best practice. A huge thank-you to all supporters, including Muckles for the donation of a fabulous hamper.”
