Charity clay pigeon shoot hits the target for The Prince's Trust

A CHARITY clay pigeon shoot hosted by a commercial law firm and local entrepreneur has raised £35,000 for The Prince’s Trust.

A CHARITY clay pigeon shoot hosted by a commercial law firm and local entrepreneur has raised £35,000 for The Prince’s Trust.

The annual shoot was hosted by Bond Dickinson and local entrepreneur John Holland of Gateshead-based J R Holland Food Services. Sponsors included Benfield Motors and Costco.

Hundreds turned out to see 23 teams compete at the Lambton Estate, near Durham.

Guests of honour included Holby City TV star Robert Powell.

John Marshall, vice chairman of Bond Dickinson said: “We are proud to support The Prince’s Trust through our charity clay pigeon shoot in aid of disadvantaged young people across the North East.

“The trust plays a vital role in helping youngsters without hope, confidence or parental support and encouragement to have aspirations and to achieve their best in life.”
