NORTHERN architect Browne Smith Baker (BSB) is enjoying a period of growth after diversifying its business.
The company has launched BSB Project Services to provide more detailed advice on design, health and safety to clients.
The practice, which has offices in Darlington, Newcastle, Leeds and Hull, boasts an extensive portfolio of high-profile developments across the North-east, including its role designing a luxury, five-star hotel, spa and golf complex for Rockcliffe Hall in Hurworth near Darlington.
Roger Hallet, director, said: “It’s a very exciting time for Browne Smith Baker.
“BSB Project Services has been created out of an existing range of in-house expertise to serve the changing demands of the industry, and to help our clients develop an informed and coordinated approach to design decision making.
“Browne Smith Baker can offer its clients a comprehensive service covering specialist disciplines thanks to our wealth of experienced construction professionals who each have additional training in their field of expertise.”
The new BSB Project Services will help the company tailor its support to individual clients, offering highly experienced project managers, coordinators, building energy assessors, access consultancy, visualisations, compliance checking and training.
One of the main services the new department will provide is a construction, design and management (CDM) coordinator to act as health and safety adviser, and ensure projects comply with CDM 2007 regulations from the early design stages through construction and completion of the project.
