Biomass boiler distribution firm Ixus Energy has secured an exclusive import deal with an Austrian manufacturer.

Ixus has struck the deal with Kraft und Wärme aus Biomasse GmbH (KWB), which will see the firm supply boilers to the North of England and the Isle of Man from its Northumberland headquarters.

The Cramlington-based company, which has more than 30 years’ experience in biomass technologies, was chosen as an ideal partner by KWB as part of its strategy to strengthen and develop its presence in the UK market.

KWB manufactures quality biomass boilers and is the leading brand in the highly competitive German market where it accounts for 20% of all boilers sold.

Simon Cross, commercial director said: “Being chosen by KWB is a major coup for us.”
