A partnership between the Alnwick Garden and award-winning North East event production company She’s Gott It! will see a new Big Christmas Adventure being held at the tourist hotspot this festive season.

On the weekends leading up to Christmas, the gardens will host a story dell, with a mischievous Jack Frost in the role of reader.

Mother Christmas will also be paying a visit, as will a cheeky elf and other special visitors, while The Ministry of Food will be on hand to help visitors make Christmas treats and decorations. Santa Claus, meanwhile, will feel right at home in his very own Lapland, and will have all the information he needs to know what each child wants for Christmas.

Throughout the event, which includes a host of activities and workshops, elves will be acting as tour guides, and each child will go home with a special gift as well as happy memories.

The idea for the event came from She’s Gott It! which, for the last six years, has been delivering a Christmas festivities in Edinburgh, which recently won ‘Best Event 2013’ at the National Outdoor Event Awards.

The Big Christmas Adventure will coincide with a free Christmas Market to be held at the foot of the Alnwick Treehouse.

Managing director of She’s Gott It! Nickie Gott said: “The Alnwick Garden is a fantastic experience all year round and tickets for this event have already started selling fast.

“We are so delighted to be working with the team in Alnwick to create this unique event in such a magical setting and are excited that the Santa hotline is now open for tickets to this amazing day out.”

The market will be open from November 23 until Christmas Eve, while the Christmas Adventure will run each weekend from November 23 to Christmas Eve.
