Administrators hopeful of securing sale for The Fin Machine Company

Administrators appointed to a  County Durham manufacturer are hopeful of finding a buyer for the firm, securing more than 200 jobs

The Fin Machine Company, based in Seaham and with a £15m turnover, supplied its products to the global automotive and air conditioning industry, including markets in China and the US.

However, it went into administration after a lack of working capital affected its supply structures.

Joe McLean and Chris Petts of Grant Thornton were appointed joint administrators to the business on August 21 and said that healthy demand for Fin's products left them hopeful of attracting a buyer.
