Marks and Spencer is creating more than 200 jobs in the North-East with the opening of its largest new UK retail park store.
The retailer is taking on 225 full and part-time staff at the 60,000 sq ft site at Teesside Shopping Park in Stockton, which is due to open its doors on August 24.
It has been rolling out new larger stores and Simply Food shops, such as those opened over the last year in Durham and Morpeth, across the country.
But this will be the largest the company has opened this year.
The store, which is smaller than those in Newcastle and the MetroCentre, will sell food, clothing and furniture as well as having a 70-seater cafe.
Paul Tyler, Marks & Spencer Teesside store manager, said: "We are very excited to be opening a store in the Teesside Shopping Park and we are delighted to be offering our customers and staff the chance to shop and work in such a fantastic, modern new store.
"We have many dedicated customers in the area and hope they will be pleased with the range and quality of products available and we are looking forward to welcoming them to our store."
