Oil and gas haulage specialist Grampian Continental is driving business forward with a £20,000 investment in new software.
The firm, which invested £70,000 in the launch of a Bedlington base earlier this year, bringing its UK offices to three, believes the new software will help cut the carbon footprint of every journey by the firm’s 120-strong fleet of trucks and trailers.
The new system will give its eight-man operations team a sophisticated toolkit with which to plan and assess route options, as well as generate automated client reports and integrate with the firm’s finance, operations and other back office functions.
Finance director Neil Bremner said: “This move is part of making sure we have the right infrastructure in place to achieve our expansion plans.”
