Rural property consultants YoungsRPS have announced expansion plans for the business which include a move into Yorkshire.

At the same time the company has also appointed two new directors. Charles Raine in the Hexham office moves from partner to director while Edward Boon in the Sedgefield office also moves up the ladder.

Both have been with YoungsRPS for a number of years and are well-established at Sedgefield and Hexham respectively.

Joining the team to spearhead the push into Yorkshire is new recruit Kevin Guy. A Yorkshire man born and bred, Kevin has worked as a rural chartered surveyor in the North for more than15 years, spending the last seven in North Yorkshire. He will shortly be working from the YoungsRPS Sedgefield office, teaming up with another Yorkshire lad, James Thompson.

John Turnbull, senior director at YoungsRPS, said: “We are delighted to have Ed and Charlie joining us as directors. It’s important to have fresh ideas and new faces in the boardroom. Both Charlie and Ed know the business well, having trained with the company over a number of years.

“They have different strengths and skills to offer which we feel will complement the existing mix extremely well, plus it’s great to be able to reward home-grown talent with promotion. ”

“We are also delighted to welcome Kevin to the team. The company has been through a number of changes of late as we continue to expand both our geographical reach and the range of professional services we can offer clients.

“A move into Yorkshire is a natural progression for us, and we are delighted to have Kevin on board to help us to achieve this goal. He is already a well-known face among the Yorkshire rural and farming community with a depth of experience in all aspects of land agency.”

Kevin said: “The opportunity to join a long-established and ambitious firm such as YoungsRPS was not to be missed. I see YoungsRPS as a company that has managed to retain its ethos and integrity over many years, yet continues to move with the times and grow the business.

“I’m much looking forward to taking on my new role and becoming a part of this exciting venture.”
