Blyth-based Dräger, one of the international leaders in safety and medical technology, has welcomed Richard Ryan to the team.
He has been appointed as a regional account manager and will be responsible for working with customers primarily across the South East, specialising in safety solutions.
Ryan, 33, from Warwick, was in the Army as an electronics engineer for five years, before becoming a field service engineer and working on various equipment from bulk material plant through to packaging machinery on various customer sites in the UK and Europe.
Prior to joining Dräger he worked in sales role, specialising in technical and safety products.
Ryan said: “As a service engineer I have worn and used much of the Dräger range at various points in my career so I already had an understanding of the company’s ethos around innovative and life-protecting solutions.
“My key priorities will be to ensure I understand the needs of existing and loyal customers to progress their relationship with Dräger and to build our existing customer base.”
Andrew Dixon, UK sales manager at Dräger, added: “We are delighted to welcome Richard to the team. His experience and understanding of the industry ensures he will be a great addition here at Dräger as we continue to work with businesses on a regional, national and global scale to deliver technology for life.”
