Clive Owen LLP has promoted Kevin Shotton to partner as a result of his involvement in the growth and expansion of the firm’s audit and accounts department as well as wider service offerings to help benefit the firm’s clients.
Kevin, from Washington, rejoined Clive Owen in 2012 as a director after qualifying as a chartered accountant with the company in 2005.
After qualification, Kevin moved to a national firm in Newcastle where he gained further knowledge and experience of the corporate market. He rejoined Clive Owen LLP as he saw an opportunity to be part of a practice that had visions for future development. His experience has helped bring fresh ideas and perspective to the firm.
Kevin works with a variety of owner-managed businesses but has particular knowledge of manufacturing businesses and supporting entities adapting to the new UK accounting rules.
His promotion underpins the firm’s commitment to staff development.
Tony Luckett, partner with Clive Owen LLP, said: “Kevin has been instrumental in the continued expansion of the firm. He rejoined Clive Owen having gained more knowledge and experience and this has been fundamental to his ability to help support our clients as the economy continues to recover. We are delighted to see Kevin rewarded in this way.”
Kevin added: “I’m excited about gaining this promotion and very pleased to be able to be so involved with further ideas and initiatives that will support the firm’s continued growth. I’m fortunate to work with great clients and I look forward to the future.”
