Newcastle-based Lowes Group plc, which incorporates the North East’s longest-established chartered, independent financial planning firm Lowes Financial Management, will shortly be welcoming former Three Counties Ltd managing director Nicola Wrightson to join the ranks as a Lowes financial consultant.

Kathryn Grieves, Nicola’s former personal assistant from Three Counties, is also joining Lowes.

Nicola, a well-known and respected member of the North East’s financial services community for more than 25 years, held the post of managing director at Three Counties for a number of years.

Specialising in investments, Nicola has previously worked for other independent financial advisory firms but also served 11 years with a fund management group in various roles, including investment sales director.

Prior to joining Lowes Nicola will be spending part of her summer adding to her collection of advanced financial planning qualifications with a view to achieving the status of chartered financial planner.

Nicola will join the 70-strong team at Lowes that includes some of the most qualified people in the sector and collectively provide the highest-quality financial advice to clients throughout the UK.

Her personal assistant Kathryn Grieves is also joining Lowes Group, with her varied experience working for 10 years in various independent financial advice practices across the North East. She has substantial knowledge in the field of retirement planning and has a particular interest in investments and estate planning.

Lowes Group managing director Ian Lowes said: “We very much welcome Nicola and Kathryn on board at Lowes at a time when we are enjoying unparalleled growth. Together they bring with them a wealth of experience and importantly, the ethic and attitude necessary to help us to continue to deliver our particular approach to financial planning – taking care of personal finances personally.”
