Explain, the Newcastle-based market research and insights agency, has welcomed three new recruits.
Armed with a BSC (Hons) in criminology and sociology and an MA in applied policy research, Kat Allen joins Explain as a market research executive and will be working in a team that manages both qualitative and quantitative projects.
With particular experience in service improvement from four years at Northumbria Police, Kat will manage some of Explain’s largest clients in specialist sectors such as social housing, where her expertise for data analysis and survey design will be well utilised.
In addition to quantitative projects, Kat is also looking forward to expanding her skills and experience into qualitative research methods, such as the facilitation of discussion groups.
Joining as market research assistants are Rhonda Winskill and Michael Spink who will assist across both qualitative and quantitative teams. With a degree in geography from Dundee University, Rhonda is ideally suited to begin her career at Explain and is eager to build upon her skills in research, with a particular interest in qualitative methodologies.
Michael joins Explain for a 12-month placement as part of his university degree. Studying business management at Newcastle University, he was keen to supplement his studies by gaining a broad range of experience across the business in preparation for his final year dissertation.
Emma Hopkins, Explain research director, said: “Our new recruits are the perfect additions to the Explain team and join us at an exciting time.
“We have just relaunched our new-look online communities product, Explain Communities, embarked upon our collaboration with North East=based business REALRIDER® and have a new market-leading product launch on the horizon. There is plenty for our new recruits to be getting stuck into!”
