Neil Gardiner, 30, has been given the role at Aspire, recently recognised in both regional and national awards for its rapid growth in the IT sector.

It is a new position within the company and Neil, originally from Portrush in Northern Ireland, is excited to be starting with Aspire. He said: “The company has a reputation for its focus on customer service and I’ve been hugely impressed by how slick the operation is.

“Aspire’s obsession with keeping customers happy isn’t just rhetoric, it’s at the core of everything we do.”

Neil graduated from the University of Manchester with a business degree, with a specialism in marketing, and gained several years’ experience in the IT sector and the SME market. He provided sales and marketing consultancy to SMEs across the country and across many sectors, prior to taking charge of the sales and marketing of the family construction business.

Neil, who lives in North Shields, said he would be working separately from the direct sales team and targeting business outside of the region.

“My role involves creating and managing strategic partnerships with regional and national organisations. Through collaborative business relationships, I work with partners to deliver benefits that our position affords us, allowing partners to tap into our infrastructure, very high skill level and benefit from the dynamic and innovative approach this allows us to take in solving their clients problems,” explained Neil.

“We work with companies to help them achieve things they can’t do at present because of size, economic position, skill-level, geography or IT solutions that they aren’t aware of.”

Last September, Aspire made its first appearance in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100, the annual league table which ranks the UK’s leading private technology companies by looking at the fastest-growing sales performances over the last three years. More recently, the company added to that honour by being named as one of the region’s top 10 fastest-growing IT companies in the Northern Tech Awards.

Aspire managing director Nigel Begg was delighted to welcome Neil to the company: “It’s a new role for us, but one which will help propel Aspire forward and maintain our rate of growth. Neil has plenty of experience in the role at other companies, and brings with him new ways of working and new ways of looking for solutions.”

Aspire Technology Solutions is a managed services company specialising in managed services, infrastructure solutions and connectivity solutions. It has key sites in the North East and London and in 2014 recorded an increase in turnover of almost 60% and predicted further growth of at least 25% for the current financial year.
