The North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) has appointed LAUREN SAUL as marketing assistant.
Lauren, who studied journalism at the University of Sunderland, joins a number of new recruits recently welcomed to the enterprise agency as new projects begin to take shape.
She said: “As soon as I visited the BIC I knew straightaway that it was a company I wanted to be a part of. I am looking forward in helping to support the BIC’s Open Space facility as well as identifying networking opportunities.”
Lauren has a strong background in driving events for cosmetics firm Clinique and during her time there quickly enjoyed promotion to business manager.
She added: “I am very much a people person and I love to meet new people, make new contacts and see what opportunities develop from them. Everyone has been so welcoming and I am excited to be in a role that allows creativity and in an environment where I am fully supported.”
Victoria Thompson, head of communications, added: “It is wonderful to welcome Lauren to the team. Events are pivotal to the business community and I am pleased to have Lauren on board hitting the ground running to identify new events for the BIC to be involved with. I look forward in watching Lauren flourish and wish her every success.”
