Newcastle-based PR and marketing consultancy Karol Marketing has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new account manager.
Alex Latham joins the award-winning agency’s specialist business PR division following a strong first half of the year for Karol, during which the firm celebrated a number of high-profile account wins.
Alex brings four years of public relations experience to the consultancy, having previously gained experience in both global and small PR agencies in Manchester and Newcastle. Most recently she was responsible for launching and expanding a North East office for a Manchester-based agency, and worked with a range of food and drink and hospitality clients in the region.
She said: “I’m pleased to be joining such an established North East agency that has an impressive portfolio of regional, national and international clients across a variety of sectors.
“I look forward to bringing my skills and creativity to Karol’s business PR accounts and to working with the highly-experienced and dynamic team.”
Karol Marketing’s client base includes Patrick Parsons Consulting Engineers, the Master Locksmiths Association, aviation management company Naljets, aerial photography specialists Airfotos and sign language charity Signature.
The agency also has a specialist consumer lifestyle and brand PR team, which works with top names including Vango Tents, clothing brand Bergans of Norway, Italian footwear company Asolo and UK-based Bad Boy MMA clothing and fight gear.
Stefan Lepkowski, managing director of Karol Marketing, said: “We are delighted to welcome Alex to the team – she has an impressive background of working at some prestigious agencies and undertaking PR campaigns for big brands in sectors from technology to tourism.
“It has been a great year for the agency so far with several new client wins under our belt, and Alex will be working within the business PR division to expand our offering and portfolio even further.”
Karol Marketing, which last year celebrated its 21st birthday, has won the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ PR Consultancy Team of the Year Award five times.
