Newcastle-based IT services provider Atlas Cloud is stepping up its operation in Leeds to cope with rising demand.
Now confirmed as one of the most secure providers in the UK after ISO 27001 2013 accreditation, the company has appointed Jon Smith as business manager in new offices at a landmark development on the western edge of the city.
Jon, 46, Yorkshire-born and now living in Huddersfield, said: “There is a lot of interest around Leeds in what a difference the cloud can make for the city.
“Businesses really seem to be embracing the possibilities and I want to get out to as many as possible and find the right solution to let them prosper while we run their IT operation.
“Having worked in this sector for more than 25 years, with many of the elements that make up the Atlas Cloud solution, I couldn’t resist the opportunity of joining such a fantastic team and using that experience to help us grow into one of the region’s main providers, while adding real value to our customers.”
Jon will be working with business development executive Alex Cutts at No 1 Leeds, a new building on Whitehall Road.
“They are very impressive offices to bring our clients to and I am genuinely excited by what Atlas Cloud can do here,” he said.
Atlas Cloud chief executive Pete Watson added: “Jon is exactly the right man for us in Leeds. His knowledge of the area and his experience of so many parts of the Atlas Cloud operation is exceptional.
“With him in place and backed up by our ISO award, we know we can build on our West Yorkshire success and extend the Atlas Cloud even further.
