The Newcastle-based print specialist Statex Colour Print has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new business development manager.
Boasting over 25 years’ experience within the industry, Ian Bensley will be responsible for establishing new customers, in addition to assisting the company with its strategy to increase growth by 10% year-on-year.
A large part of this growth is expected to be achieved through Statex Colour Print’s ability to offer a full end-to-end solution of print, mail and management services.
Bensley said: “I am delighted to join the Statex Colour Print team at what promises to be a very exciting time for the organisation.
“I’ve always followed the company’s progress and having seen the ways in which the company has evolved in recent years I was very keen to make this move.
“I feel that my extensive experience within the industry will prove highly beneficial to the company and its clients and I am very much looking forward to the new challenge that lies ahead.”
Managing director, Graham Minett said: “We had heard about Ian’s fantastic reputation within the industry and we are delighted to welcome him to the team.
“We have some very exciting growth plans in place for the coming year and his appointment will help us to achieve our goals and grow the business further.”
Statex is hoping to recruit more employees over the next year, including several apprentices.
Minett added: “Our employee development programme has been extremely successful and I believe this has been instrumental to Statex Colour Print’s success.
“Many of our staff have joined us within the early stages of their career and moved up the ranks and we are keen to continue with this progression plan.”
Statex Colour Print works with a range of global brands, SMEs and public bodies located in the North East and nationally.
The company currently employs 88 staff and has recently achieved colour quality certification ISO 12647-2, an award that is only presented to those able to produce the most complex and technologically advanced print jobs.
Only a handful of companies country-wide have successfully achieved this accreditation.
