Jamie Harding, who joins the Wilton Centre-based business as a web developer, will work on designing and developing websites and apps for the agency’s clients.

This includes working for national and international brands in retail, public and private sectors and manufacturing and heavy industries.

Billingham-born Jamie previously worked as a network infrastructure manager for a Teesside company managing the networks of four subsidiary companies and is keen to use his experience in an agency environment.

He said: “I am really looking forward to working on a range of different projects for different clients.”

House of Type managing director Dave Marshall said digital marketing was a vital part of the service that clients expected from their agency, adding: “Jamie’s skills will strengthen our web team and support the huge demand for the creative approach to online design and development we offer.”

House of Type, which has more than 25 years’ experience of providing marketing and design expertise to clients in the North East and beyond, relocated its team to Wilton, the 75-acre business and science park between Middlesbrough and Redcar, earlier this year.

Employing nine staff, it offers a range of marketing, advertising, communication and digital services including branding, web and app design and development, social media and public relations.

It works with a range of businesses and organisations on Teesside and across the UK including national and international brands in retail, public and private sectors, manufacturing and heavy industries such as SABIC, Johnson Matthey, Clinkards, Barker and Stonehouse, Wilton Centre, Palintest and Medina Group.
