A growing North East lettings company is branching out into property sales with the launch of a dedicated estate agency in Easington.

The Castledene Group, which was crowned the UK’s best lettings agency at this year’s Sunday Times Lettings Awards, has opened Castledene Residential Estates, providing residential, commercial and investment property sales.

The agency, based at Seaside Lane, Easington, has already brought 16 property listings on board within the first two weeks of opening, and the team intend to grow the agency quickly, to build on the award-winning success that Castledene has achieved for its lettings services.

Castledene Residential Estates has invested in the latest technology, including ipads for potential buyers to use to search for properties when they visit the branch, and state-of-the-art software to match applicants with sellers, as well as sending out bespoke weekly newsletters to all registered buyers. There is also a facility which also enables both buyers and vendors to log in and see the progress of their sale or purchase.

Lisa Everson, who has worked for Castledene for more than six years, and has 15 years’ experience in selling properties, has been appointed as the sales manager in the new branch.

She said: “I am delighted to be part of the new venture at Castledene Residential Estates. I am confident that with the structure we have in place the company will go from strength to strength.

“Opening our residential arm was the natural next step for the group. We have, in fact, been selling properties to investors for more than six years, but we have always been more known for the lettings side of the business.

“We had regularly been asked to recommend estate agents to our landlords if they wanted to sell their property. They continually mentioned that they were dissatisfied with the level of service they were receiving from other agents, so we decided that the time was right to set up our own dedicated branch.

“We wanted to create an agency which combined the latest digital technology with our team’s extensive local knowledge and 20 years of experience in selling property. We’re well known for our sound professional advice and our top levels of personal customer service, so we’re looking forward to developing that reputation in Castledene Residential Estates.”

Simon Cooper, who has been appointed as senior valuer, added: “Having been in sales for 25 years and estate agency for 10, it’s great to be involved in the birth of a new venture with a rapidly-expanding company. Castledene have the right mix of staff and experience to really fly, and I’m proud to be part of the team.”

The Castledene Group was founded in 2008 and has a network of branches across the region, managing more than 2,000 properties.
