The appointments follow an 8.6% rise in revenues at the business during 2013-2014.

The company’s development plans for this year include significant investment in staff and infrastructure, with a large-scale IT upgrade currently underway.

Managing director Simon Bailes said: “As a constantly growing business, we must have the right leadership team in place.

“We’ve strengthened our board of directors as we move forward into a development phase which will see us work hard to not only increase retail sales but also work on growing our fleet department.

“I have a very dedicated team who I am so proud of and our staff turnover is very low compared to the rest of the sector.

“It’s an exciting time for our business and I am delighted to welcome our new director to the board.”

Simon Bailes Peugeot was established in 1979 and employs around 106 people at its three dealerships.
