The Alnwick Garden

The Alnwick Garden is a complex of formal gardens adjacent to Alnwick Castle in the town of Alnwick, Northumberland. The garden was designed by Beligian garden designers Jacques and Peter Wirtz with The Duchess of Northumberland being the driving force behind its creation in 1997. The garden opened to the public in 2001 with a reported total development cost of £42 million.
